Special Needs Family Event
Saturday, May 4th 6:30 - 8:30pm
Celebrating Progresses, Social Time, Dinner, and Game Night
Many past attendees to our events have suggested that we have more time to meet each other and have social time to tell our stories and share information. That is exactly what we have planned for this next event!
Game night was a huge success last time for the children and young adults, so we are doing it again! Our youth pastor Rory and the youth group will be guiding the fun.
We will share good news on how our NEW WEBSITE is progressing and will include features that you have requested, such as links to resources and organizations, a Forum for questions and answers, a place to post your story, resources, book reviews, and more!
We also want to share how Spectrum Fusion is helping young adults on the Autism Spectrum find meaningful employment. We will have some video clips of presentations from the Reactor Room which brings community and business leaders together to mentor and network to find employment opportunities.
This will be an informative and social time with emphasis on Social and Fun.
Blessings,
Chuck Hendee

Special Needs Event
January 11, 2019 from 7:00 – 8:30pm
with Dr. Heidi Ham from Spectrum Fusion
Dr. Ham earned a Ph.D. in Psychology, specializing in autism, from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. She has worked with individuals with autism and their families in the United States, United Kingdom, Nigeria, and Australia. In 2006 she envisioned a community where individuals with autism could develop a sense of belonging and find their purpose. Spectrum Fusion works to improve the possibilities for individuals with autism. Partnering with universities, organizations, parents, employers, innovators, entrepreneurs and business experts, they seek to positively change the lives of adults with autism. Through innovative opportunities, they seek to help individuals with autism use their skills, interests, and strengths to reach their full potential. For more information, visit Spectrum Fusion’s website at https://www.spectrumfusion.org. As Dr. Ham discusses Spectrum Fusion and answers your questions, in another room of the church building we will have a Game Night for your loved ones. We will play Bingo and other games. It will be a fun time. Brandie Nickerson, our Special Needs coordinator, will oversee Game Night. Our Youth Minister Rory Dunson and several of our youth will be in attendance to interact and play as well. We ask that you register ahead of time for this event so that we have everything prepared for your arrival.
